Once the software requirements are met, follow the steps below to install the SmarterCommerce Retail Point of Sale web site.

• Locate the installation file below provided by SmarterCommerce:

   SmarterCommerce Point of Sale 7.0.0.0.exe
  

• Double click on the setup file to launch the installation process.  On the Welcome screen click on Next button.

• On the Select Installation Address screen, enter the web location (site), the Point Of Sale name (IIS Virtual Directory Name), and the Application Pool under which the application will reside. Default values are suggested for each entry.  However, you can modify it as desired.  If you change the default values just keep in mind that you will need to remember the changes later.  Click on Next button to continue.

• The installer validates the selected application pool properties. If one of the requirements is not met, then the following message is displayed. This is a warning message only to make sure you configure your application pool as suggested. Click on OK button to continue.

• On the Configure SmarterCommerce Point Of Sale screen the Image service update interval, and the Business Layer URL. This information can be configured later by manually updating the configuration files (review section Updating Configuration Files). Click on Next button to continue.

• On the Confirm Installation screen click on Next button to start the installation process.

• Once the installation is completed press the Finish button to close the installer.
