If you decide to index Static HTML in pages, you can choose which pages to index. To configure a page to be indexed, navigate to Pages maintenance, click on “Actions” dropdown, and select “Title & Properties”.

If the page must be indexed check the “Allow site search to index this page” and then click “Save Changes”.

If you decide not to index specific content items, there is a tag called “SC do not index” so you can associate this tag to the content item and it will be excluded from indexing to App Search.  

If you decide that a particular document should not be indexed, then go to the document detail view and associate the tag "SC do not index" and then publish it. This document will no longer be considered when indexing content in App Search.

The "SC do not index" tag is created automatically so you do not have to create it.  Also, it is automatically assigned to the Import Template documents and files generated by the Import/Export processes.

If you do not want all documents within a library to be indexed, configure that library as follows (This is the recommended configuration for the SmarterCommerce Task Manager and Import Templates libraries):

·         Click on the library action menu and click on the “Library properties” option.

·         Uncheck the “Include in site search” property.

·         Click on Save Changes.

·         If the library does not have any documents then no further steps are required, otherwise, continue following the steps.

o   Go to Administration -> Search Indexes.

o   Click the “Reindex” action on every search index that indexes documents.
