Configure Thumbnails Sizes


For each image in a library, you can generate thumbnails with different sizes and then choose which size to display on the website.

Following the next steps to configure the image thumbnail sizes:

  1. In the main menu, click Administration » Settings in the Basic settings page.
  2. Click Thumbnails.
  3. To create a new thumbnail size, click Add image thumbnail size.
  4. Enter the information and click Done.

    SmarterCommerce in last versions used 120x120px

Thumbnail sizes recommended and created in Ecommerce CMS Sitefinity:

-        SmarterCommerceThumbnail 120x120

-        SmarterCommerce 40x40

-        SmarterCommerceCarousel 80x80

-        SmarterCommerceProductContent 500x500

Note: It is not required that the thumbnail sizes be generated, since if this is not generated and is not configured in the designer or in the settings, the system takes the Original size of the image.

 

SmarterCommerce Customer Thumbnail Resize

Beginning with release 7.0, we are also including SmarterCommerce custom Thumbnail Resize. This allows resizing so that the image(s) fit the target width and height dimensions while preserving the aspect ratio.


SmarterCommerce Custom Thumbnail Rezise Smaller Images to Bigger Dimensions

If this setting is turned on images of these dimensions that are small will take the specified dimensions but expand the image. On the other hand, if you want to keep the image quality but get to the specified dimension this setting should be turned off so that the image is only filled with white space in height or width as needed to complete the requested dimension.
