Overview

Royal Building Products, part of Westlake, manufactures and distributes plastic and PVC for homes and buildings in Canada. They have been using JD Edwards since 2004.

With a network of locations, they were using JD Edwards sales order entry as the point of sale solution. This was a cumbersome approach, training new users was difficult, searching products was challenging, and a checkout process was longer than customer expected - sometimes 10 minute per order. They knew they needed an simplified and more user friendly solution for their store associates that was easy to implement, so they turned to SmarterCommerce. 

After partnering with SmarterCommerce, store associates now make significantly less mistakes during order entry, keying in an order has been cut in half on average, and training new employees is much easier especially during peak hiring season.
