B2B Dealer Portal and Streamlined Payments

Overview

Mizuno is a global sporting goods organization specializing in running, golf, baseball, and volleyball sporting goods. Prior to transitioning to SmarterCommerce, Mizuno USA was running a legacy ERP2Web portal, Direct Connect, for their smaller B2B customers to manage and place orders.  Over the years, the legacy portal became outdated and required so many modifications that the cost of upgrading was nearly the cost of replacing the entire solution. Additionally, the process for making front-end changes was extremely cumbersome and the JD Edwards integration was very rigid and limited.

After evaluating and selecting SmarterCommerce to replace the legacy platform, Mizuno USA launched the new Direct Connect Portal to modernize its B2B operations. The out of the box integration to JD Edwards and simplified upgrade process made SmarterCommerce a good fit for Mizuno USA.

Direct Connect leverages SmarterCommerce Ecommerce and Payments for its dealers to log on, place orders, check inventory, pay invoices with ACH payments and manage their relationship with the sporting good leader.  Mizuno USA dealer portal supports the sale of a broad array of products including stock items, drop ship items and configured/make to order items leveraging the JD Edwards Sales Configurator to drive the selection of product segment options, validation of the configured product and placement of the orders directly into JD Edwards.

In addition to using SmarterCommerce Ecommerce, Mizuno USA also levarages the real-time integration SmarterCommerce Retail Point of Sale (POS) solution to manage its retail store operations.
