Catalog lets authenticated and unauthenticated web users view and navigate through the catalog. This widget displays catalog navigation in sidebar mode. The widget will be hidden if there is no catalog available or if catalog provider is external (Management Console setting). 
 

Sample Views

1- Nodes List Display

This view is used to render catalog category nodes and any associated badges. An option to switch between grid and list view is available and the navigation breadcrumb is displayed.

2- Nodes Grid Display
This view is used to render catalog category nodes and any associated badges. An option to switch between grid and list view is available and the navigation breadcrumb is displayed.
3- Product List Display

The product list can be viewed in list or grid mode and provides the following functionality:

  • Add product to cart
  • Add product to quote 
  • Add product to wish list
  • Link to Product Content page
  • Product More Info popup (Find more in “More Information Popup”)
  • View product tag announcements
  • Filter products by attributes
  • Compare products
4- Products Grid Display

5- Collapsible Sidebar Attributes
Attributes are used to narrow the search scope. Matrix items may be filtered when extended segment information is available. Attributes can be seen in a sidebar or top navigation bar.  Below is an example of sidebar attributes.
6- Top Attributes Filters

7- Advanced Attributes Modal
Advanced attributes filter allows the user an exhaustive control of all available filters.
8- Compare Products Bar Opened
The compare products bar allows the user to view and compare products side by side. The example below displays the compare products bar opened. Please note this view is not available for mobile.

The compare products bar allows the user to view and compare products side by side. The example below displays the compare products bar collapsed. Please note this view is not available for mobile.
10- More Info Modal
For each product the user may press a button to display preview information about the product. Please note this view is not available for mobile.
Catalog ID
Optional value that defines the catalog ID to display. If property is not set, the widget will get the catalog ID from the catalog path. If catalog ID is not available in the catalog path, the widget will use the last catalog that the user has visited or the first catalog available. Under this configuration where Catalog ID is retrieved from the URL path, there is a restriction with the page name and page URLs. The page where the Catalog widget is dropped cannot be named as any of the catalogs available. For example, if there is a catalog named Products, the catalog page cannot be named “Products”.
Display Category Nodes in the Sidebar
Display or hide the category nodes in the sidebar. Default value is true.

Max Category Nodes to Display
Defines the number of category nodes to be displayed. Default value will be 5. If the value is 0 all attributes are displayed in front.
Navigation Links
Display or hide navigation links in the sidebar. 
Attributes Filter Display Mode
Defines how the attributes filter will be displayed on sidebar or top. Default value is sidebar.
Enable collapse in sidebar

Defines if attributes and category nodes are displayed in a collapsible section. Default value is No.

Max Attributes to display
Defines the number of attributes to be displayed.  Default will be 5.  If the value is 0 the all attributes are displayed.
Max Attribute values to display
Defines the number of attribute values to be displayed.   If Attributes display mode is Sidebar then default will be 5, otherwise empty.  If the value is 0 the all attributes are displayed.
Catalog Category Nodes Layout
Defines the startup mode for the Catalog Category Nodes listing: List or Grid. Default value is Grid.
Display Category Node Images

Displays or hides the category node images

Node Thumbnail Size
Defines the Sitefinity Thumbnail Size for images. Default value is the original size of the image.
Display Subcategories
Display or hide catalog subcategories of each node. Default value is false. If the option is checked, an additional input to enter the how many subcategories is displayed. If the input is left blank, only the first 3 subcategories are displayed.
Display Primary Top bar Content Section
Content is displayed on top bar below the Breadcrumb. Default value is false.
Select Content

Options Content 1, Content 2, Content 3. Default value is Content 1. We have an option for primary, secondary, sidebar, bottom and it is displayed when display option is true.

Use Content From
Catalog or Category Node. Default value is Catalog. We have an option for primary, secondary, sidebar, bottom and it is displayed when display option is true.
Display Secondary Top bar Content Section
Content is displayed on secondary top bar below the Category Title. Default value is false.
Display Sidebar Top bar Content Section
Content is displayed on the sidebar below categories and filters. Default value is false.
Display Bottom Bar Content Section
Content is displayed on the bottom bar. Default value is false.
Product Listing Layout Mode
Defines the startup mode for the Catalog product listing: List or Grid. Default value is Listing.
Allow to Switch Between Grid and List Mode
Display or hides the switch to allow the user to change the initial node listing: List or Grid. Default value is true.
Category Nodes Navigation
Display or hides the carousel of category nodes in the top bar and display an input to configure the quantity of categories visible in the carousel. Default value 4
Display Features HTML on Grid
Display or hide the product features content on grid view.
Display Features HTML on List
Display product the product features content on list view.
Display Price
Show/hide price. Options are: Calculated from ERP, From module, Do not display. Default value is Do not display.
Display Sort by Description
Hide/Show the sort by description. Default value is true.
Sort by Description Position
Used to order sort by options in the dropdown. Default value is 0.
Display Sort by Recommended
Hide/Show the sort by Recommended. Default value is true.
Sort by Recommended Position
Used to order sort by options in the dropdown. Default value is 0.
Display Sort by Product Number
Hide/Show the sort by product number. Default value is true.
Sort by Product Number Position
Used to order sort by options in the dropdown. Default value is 0.
Display Sort by Most Viewed
Hide/Show the sort by most viewed. Default value is true.
Sort by Most Viewed Position
Used to order sort by options in the dropdown. Default value is 0.
Display Add to Cart
Hide/Show add to cart option. This configuration overrides the SmarterCommerce Settings Module values. Default value is true.
Display Add to List
Hide/Show add to list option. This configuration overrides the SmarterCommerce Settings Module values. Default value is true.
Display Image
Hide/Show image. This configuration overrides the SmarterCommerce Settings Module values. Default value is true.
Display Hover Image
Hide/Show hover image. The second image from the product gallery will be used as the hover image. This configuration overrides the SmarterCommerce Settings Module values. Available when Display Image is checked. Default value is false.
Display Availability
Hide/Show availability information. This configuration overrides the SmarterCommerce Settings Module values. Default value is true.
Product Thumbnail Size
Thumbnail size for product image. This configuration overrides the SmarterCommerce Settings Module values. Default value is Original Size. Available when Display Image is checked.
Sales Restriction - by Cat Code
Inventory > Settings

Determines the inventory category code values which can be purchased via the web site.

Cross Reference Type for Customer Product Number
Ecommerce > Settings
JD Edwards item cross reference type code representing customer item number.
Notify web user when profile information is changed from website
Ecommerce > Settings
Determines if an email will be sent to the user when web account has changed from the website.
Stocking Type Restriction
Inventory > Settings

Used only in Web Stores - Inventory stocking types which can be purchased via Web Store. Stocking type ‘O’ (Obsolete) can never be purchased.  However, ‘U’ (Use Up-Obsolete) can be purchased via the web site up to the quantity you have remaining.  Possible values are:

All inventory stocking types can be added to cart

Limited Only the selected inventory stocking types may be added to cart

SmarterCommerce Catalog product Restriction
Inventory > Settings
When enabled a product must exist in at least one published catalog to be able to add to cart. 

 

Display product number
Inventory
For CMS stores this is the product number that will be displayed upon entry and validation of a product. For Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP) stores this is the product number shown in order and invoice history. This is also the product number that will be used throughout the Management Console.

Determines behavior upon adding items to the cart. The options are:
  • Redirect to Shopping Cart
  • Stay on the same page
  • Display added to cart confirmation modal
Attribute value thumbnail size
Web Site > General Behavior
When an attribute is set with display mode as image or color this is the thumbnail size that will be used.
Product listing small thumbnail size
Web Site > General Behavior
This size will be used in carousels, in the Tabular display mode, compare bar, and in floating popups. If required, select a smaller size than the Product listing thumbnail size.
Display product images

Determines if product images will be displayed or not.
Guest Users - Display Price Information
Web Site > Guest Users
Determines if pricing information will be available for guest (unauthenticated) users.
Enable preferences cookies

Enable preferences cookies (used to save web user preferences like page size, sort by, layout mode).
Enable profile cookies

Unit of measure display mode
Inventory

Unit of measure display mode. The options are: 

  • Do not display UOM
  • Show UOM as a display only field
  • Enable UOM selection by the user
Please note that when this setting allows the user to selection a new UOM the list of UOM available to the customer is dependent on the F41003 (primary and transaction UOM as well as all UOM that can be converted to those) or the F41002 (all UOM for the item).  In all cases the UOM must be configured for the Store to appear in the Ecommerce selection list.
Badge announcement style

A badge is a small piece of information displayed for the user. The available badge styles are circle, triangle, rectangle, and tail.
Maximum announcements to display
Catalog > Badge Announcements
The maximum badge announcements to display in products and nodes.
Products layout mode
Catalog > Product Listings
Defines the product list default layout. Options are Grid and List.
Allow compare products
Catalog > Product Listings
Compare functionality allows you to view two or more products together. This setting defines if the option to compare products is displayed or not.
Display price break (more info)
Catalog > Product Listings
Defines if price break information is displayed in the More Info pop-up or not. Display price break is dependent on setting within SmarterCommerce Management Console (refer to Display Price Break and Required Quantity for Volume Discounts setting)
Display savings (more info)
Catalog > Product Listings
Defines if savings are displayed in the More Info pop-up. Display savings is dependent on setting within SmarterCommerce Management Console (refer to Display Base Price and Savings setting)
Display more info
Catalog > Product Listings
Determines if More Info pop-up is displayed or not. Does not apply to the Most Viewed Thumbnail view, Recently Viewed Thumbnail view, Compare and Quick Order Widgets.
Display massive actions
Catalog > Product Listings
Determines if massive actions (such as add to cart or add to wish-list) are displayed or not. Does not apply to the Most Viewed Thumbnail view, Recently Viewed Thumbnail view, Compare and Quick Order Widgets.
Show product number
Catalog > Product Listings
Defines if the product number is displayed on the website.
Filter by assignments Attribute
Catalog > Product Filter Assignments
Catalog products can be filtered to show only those assigned to the customer. This is the attribute that is used to assign products to the customer.
Address Book Category Code
Catalog > Product Filter Assignments
Defines the customer category code (1-30) used to filter products in the catalog.
View Pricing Information
Determines if the web user is allowed to see pricing and price break information. If the web user does not have permission they can still browse your catalog, but they won't see pricing.
