Similar to JD Edwards, there may be processes within the Management Console that you need to run on a schedule or routine basis.  You can create scheduler jobs to accommodate this need. For example, you can create a scheduler job to publish the catalog on a weekly or monthly basis. The scheduler settings allow you to specify how often you would like to purge the jobs.

From the scheduler jobs screen you can delete a scheduled job, review the jobs history, or reschedule (edit) the job. This screen will also inform you of the scheduler service status.
