In addition to the existing Oracle-JD Edwards numbering sequence the Management Console provides a series of additional next number sequences. The next numbers are used to automatically assign numbers when certain types of records are being created such as: consumer numbers, membership Ids, and users among others as shown below. Please note that these next numbers are shared across all stores and are typically setup once when the software is initially installed.

Next number Ids are hard coded values and should not be deleted.  Attempting to delete existing next numbers will cause the system to operate improperly.
