Miami, FL – July 27th, 2020 – With the global pandemic continuing into 2020 and rising uncertainty, maintaining a healthy cashflow is crucial, perhaps now more than ever. Accelerating the collection of outstanding receivables, allowing customers to pay with a convenient payment method, and incentivizing customers to pay receivables with a cost-effective payment method are all elements of a financial strategy that will ensure a healthy cashflow. SmarterCommerce by Premier is proud to announce the latest version of its SmarterCommerce Payment Processing solution, featuring real-time integration to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. SmarterCommerce Payment Processing Release 7 includes enhanced features that equip organizations to dramatically reduce the cost of collecting open invoices and automate the collection process for outstanding invoices.

Organizations often face challenges to collecting invoices from their customers. With SmarterCommerce Release 7, organizations can leverage a number of innovative features to proactively and efficiently conduct outreach to customers and collect payments for invoices in a timely and cost-effective manner. These new features include accepting ACH and EFT payments for invoices, credit card authorization by email, invoice payment by email, and credit card surcharges. Release 7 will be delivered using the cloud-based SmarterCommerce PayCloud platform, allowing customers to realize additional PCI-compliance benefits, key corresponding capabilities, and an accelerated upgrade path.

In addition to all the standard credit card processing functionality included in the previous releases of SmarterCommerce, Release 7 features the following new capabilities:

  • ACH and EFT Processing allows customers to make payments on open invoices with an ACH transaction in the U.S. or an EFT payment in Canada, dramatically reducing the credit card merchant fees by well over 90%. This is available in the native JD Edwards SmarterCommerce Application, as well as on the EPayments Portal, and Invoice Pay-by-Email.
  • Authorize-by-Email allows Customer Service Representatives to trigger an email to a customer with a secure and personalized link to a hosted page to enter a credit card for authorization of a sales order, or select a card on file for customers that have credit cards on file.
  • Invoice Pay-by-Email, like Authorize-by-Email, automatically sends customers with outstanding invoices an email with a secure link to the PayCloud hosted payments page to select and complete the payment of open invoices. Customers can complete payment using credit card, ACH/EFT, or PayPal Express Checkout.
  • Credit Card Surcharge is the capability to offset credit cards merchant fees by charging customers a surcharge fee when they elect to pay an invoice using a credit card. This capability can be configured on a state-by-state basis, according to the varying regulations, and will encourage customers to complete payments using more cost-effective payment methods, such as ACH/EFT.

“We realize that our customers are facing challenges like never before. SmarterCommerce’s mission has always been to empower our customers by providing leading commerce solutions. SmarterCommerce Release 7 is a further commitment to this central goal at a time when our customers need it the most” indicated Fermin Rodriguez, Founder and Manager Director of SmarterCommerce. “We focused our development on new capabilities that will provide customers with a quick return on investment and quantifiable cost savings. Release 7 also includes additional capabilities that continue to prioritize PCI-compliance, security, and flexible deployment options for our customers. We are eager to further partner with customers to support the utilization of these new capabilities.”
