Inventory Settings

This menu option is available from Base, Web, POS and EPayments stores.

Inventory settings provide a basic framework for how your system will work based on integration rules and business needs as they relate to JD Edwards Inventory Management.  Upon entry of the information, click save to record your changes.

Web Stores use the line type inventory interface setting to determine which products can be shown in the catalog listing.  If the inventory interface setting is set to Y then the product must exist in at least one branch associated to the store and meet any catalog setup requirements to be displayed in the catalog. If the inventory interface flag is set to N then the products will show in the catalog as long as it is in item master and meets the catalog setup requirements.

For those products with the inventory interface flag set to Y, the system uses stocking type to determine if the product can be added to the cart. If the item master stocking type is set to N then validation is NOT done and you can add the product to the cart.  Otherwise, the restricted stocking types in inventory constants will be used.

Web POS EIPP
Display product number For CMS stores this is the product number that will be displayed upon entry and validation of a product. For Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP) stores this is the product number shown in order and invoice history. This is also the product number that will be used throughout the Management Console.
