Many customers distinguish their sales channels based on document type.  As such, you may want to restrict marketing promotions to a specific sales channel.  For example, you may want to offer customers who buy via the web a special 20% discount during the month of June.    

Marketing promotion code restrictions by document type allow you to select the document types to which a promotion code will apply.  If no restriction is defined the marketing promotion code applies to all document types.
