Google Analytics is a platform that collects data from your websites and apps to create reports that provide insights into your business. You can decide to use Universal Analytics (UA) or Google Analytics 4 ( both implemented using the Data Layer & Google Tag Manager). UA and GA4 ecommerce enable product impressions and sales data to be sent with a number of suggested Ecommerce events. This is the list of the ecommerce events put in the Data Layer:

- Catalog – Product Listing
- Product Search Results
- Product/Item Detail Views
- Product Content – Compact and Product Content
- Adds/Removes from Cart
- Shopping Cart
- Remove product (single or massive)
- Save Cart action doesn’t track the remove from cart
- Add to cart

- Product Search Results
- Add to cart registering a general list for example “WishList” or “OrderDetail”. This applies to all widgets that have the add to cart action.
