PayPal Express Checkout with SmarterCommerce and PayFlow
As a leading PayPal® Partner Reseller, Premier can connect your organization to the PayPal® Payflow™ Payment Gateway. PayPal’s Payflow Payment Services, together with Premier’s SmarterCommerce Express Checkout and Credit Card Processing, allow your website, call center applications, and/or point of sale applications to support multiple payment instruments including PayPal, credit cards, purchase cards level II and III, debit cards and electronic checks.
Why Add Express Checkout to your Website?
Express Checkout is a fast, easy way for buyers to pay with PayPal. Express Checkout eliminates one of the major causes of checkout abandonment by giving buyers all the transaction details at once, including order details, shipping options, insurance choices, and tax totals.
Studies show that adding the Express Checkout button to your website can increase your sales up to 18%*.
*In an independent survey by Ipsos Public Affairs in July 2010, online merchants reported an average 18% increase in sales since adding PayPal Express Checkout.
What are PayPal® Payflow™ Payment Services?
Payflow™ provides payment services for businesses that require peak time performance and direct control over payment functionality. Payflow™ is a flexible application programming interface (API)-based solution that allows your website, call center applications, and/or point of sale applications to support multiple payment instruments including credit cards, purchase cards level II and III, debit cards, electronic checks, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers. It provides you with back-end connectivity to all leading payment processing networks in the industry.
Payflow™ is designed for scalability and reliability. The Payflow™ payment gateway processes large numbers of transactions simultaneously to ensure that customers are not kept waiting and that no transactions are lost or delayed during the buying process.
How does PayPal® Payflow™ work?
Payflow™ and SmarterCommerce gives your organization direct access to the Payflow service via an API, a TCP/IP “thin client” network service. The Payflow API client software, installed on your organization's server, establishes a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection between your applications and PayPal’s transaction servers to securely exchange payment data between parties. When a customer visits your Web site, calls your call center or visit your retail outlet and makes a purchase, the transaction data is passed from your server to the Payflow™ client, which then securely passes the payment transaction data to PayPal’s payment servers for processing.
PayPal®, securely routes the transaction through the financial network to the appropriate bank, ensuring that your customers are authorized to make their purchases.
"Freedom to Choose" your Payment Processor
Payflow™ provides support for almost all the leading payment processors giving your organization the freedom to choose the processor that delivers the best combination of merchant fee pricing and customer services to address your needs.
