To deliver perfect sound across its global network of dealers, Sennheiser deployed a Dealer/Sales Rep Portal with real-time integration to its global single instance of JDE EnterpriseOne. Leveraging the SmarterCommerce Ecommerce platform, the portal provides dynamic/personalized product catalogs, supports ordering, quoting, availability checking, order/invoice/payment inquiry and account profile administration.
Also, sales representatives use the SmarterCommerce Ecommerce Portal to better serve customers, while seamlessly leveraging the integration with the company’s separate CRM solution. Among the key challenges addressed on the project were multi-language, currency, company, catalog, awareness of JDE regional settings, integration for the CRM solution and optimizing the technical architecture to meet website performance goals and deliver high availability.
